Superintendent - Drilled Shafts

Brayman Construction is seeking a Superintendent for the Drilled Shafts Division to work at our active project locations, which include: Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio Virginia, Maryland and District of Columbia North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky The Superintendent must be willing to travel regularly based on project locations. The Superintendent is responsible for the entire construction project and oversees day-to-day work plans and progress. The Superintendent works closely with subcontractors to ensure that they are always focused on quality and workmanship that meets the Company's standards. The Superintendent handles job site quality control, status reporting, productivity, equipment, site supervision of employees, estimating, as well as the continued development of a qualified team. Daily direction and coordination of the project by the Superintendent ensures that the work is carried out safely, correctly, within budget, and on schedule. Superintendent Duties/Responsibilities: Large diameter drilling and installation of structural drilled shafts/caissons ranging in size from 18" to 144" in diameter as well as soldier beam & lagging walls, secant/tangent walls, augercast piles, drop shafts, cut-off walls, combi-walls, piling and support of excavation. Superintendent Required Skills/Abilities: 10+ years of foundation construction experience with exposure to building, heavy highway, bridge, and/or other infrastructure projects is highly desired. Additional experience with large, complex foundation projects is highly desired. Previous experience with federal/state/DOT contracts, specifications, reports and records is necessary. Candidate must have previous experience with trade supervision including performance assessment. OSHA 30 hour certification is required. Must be able to think independently and solve problems and be able to develop and lead a team/crew. Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook is preferred.

The Survey Field Technician will be responsible for construction survey and layout on bridges, dams, highways, foundations, geotechnical projects and other related heavy civil industrial projects. At this time, the majority of the surveying work is located in Hinton, WV, at the Bluestone Dam Project. Following the 9 year Bluestone Dam Project, other areas of work can occur in Western Virginia, Southern West Virginia, and Northern North Carolina. Survey Field Technician Required Skills/Abilities: Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent mathematical skills to conduct survey calculations. Knowledge with computerized mapping technologies and surveying instruments, and the computer applications and software used to process field data. (i.e. Trimble Access, S6 Robotic Total Station Equipment, and AutoCAD Civil 3D). Ability to work independently. Clean driving record Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of survey and layout experience preferred. Survey experience or education highly preferred. You will confirm required permits and licenses are obtained and will execute construction contracts. You will be responsible for inspecting the work quality and timeliness and will provide progress reports to owners and architects, making recommendations for necessary modifications. You will need to monitor the budget throughout the project and communicate variances as they occur. You will ensure projects maintain records related to costs, quantities installed and inventory. The Site Safety Representative will foster and maintain a proactive approach to safety and will promote an employee-centered safety work culture. Summary: We are currently seeking a Quality Control (QC) Engineer to work on a project based out of Hinton, West Virginia. The Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for the overall job site quality control. This Quality Control Engineer position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering in addition to 5+ years of on the job experience and legal registration as a Professional Engineer (PE). In addition to the above referenced experience and education requirements, the Quality Control Engineer shall have successfully completed the course entitled "Construction Quality Management for Contractors" which can be provided upon employment. Essential Responsibilities: Oversight and review of daily quality control reports Documentation and inspection of each definable feature of work Create and review submittals Provide technical guidance Correspond with the project owners QCS/RMS software Ability to work with Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers on a daily basis in order to plan and document the work Other Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. We are seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to work with our Field Support Team to support our growing operations in the region. The position is based out of Saxonburg, PA. Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Heavy Diesel Mechanic Duties/Responsibilities: Maintain and repair heavy diesel (mostly Peterbilt) trucks Diagnose any malfunctions the truck may have, and conduct repairs in a timely fashion to maximize the trucks uptime. Inspection mounting and rotation of tires Change brakes Preventative oil changes and monitoring of all fluids on trucks Inspection License Class 7 Diagnosing of all operational difficulties and informing management of processes that will be taken in order to repair Required Skills/Abilities: Post-secondary mechanic training is strongly preferred 2-5 years of related diesel mechanic repair experience.
