CDL Driver - Heavy Haul

Brayman Construction is a local, nationally recognized heavy civil contractor based in Saxonburg, PA, with a southern office in Wytheville, VA.  We specialize in heavy highway, bridge construction, steel erection, geotechnical and deep foundations work. We are offering a co-op opportunity to work on our Bluestone Dam project in Hinton, West Virginia. As a co-op student, you will be exposed to all aspects of construction project management as well as being a part of a major construction projects.  You could work through Estimating, Foundation Construction, Heavy Civil Construction, and Management as well as concentrate on Safety throughout the program.    Responsibilities (varying): Coordinating projects and activities Preparing project reports Computation of cost and preparing estimates Analyzing blueprints, proposals, and labor estimates Follow all safety procedures to complete work General laborer duties Other Skills/Qualifications: Must be pursuing a Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction/Business/Supply Chain Management or a similar field. Brayman Construction is seeking a Superintendent for the Drilled Shafts Division to work at our active project locations, which include: Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio Virginia, Maryland and District of Columbia North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky  The Superintendent must be willing to travel regularly based on project locations. The Superintendent is responsible for the entire construction project and oversees day-to-day work plans and progress. The Superintendent works closely with subcontractors to ensure that they are always focused on quality and workmanship that meets the Company's standards. The Superintendent handles job site quality control, status reporting, productivity, equipment, site supervision of employees, estimating, as well as the continued development of a qualified team. Daily direction and coordination of the project by the Superintendent ensures that the work is carried out safely, correctly, within budget, and on schedule.   Superintendent Duties/Responsibilities: Large diameter drilling and installation of structural drilled shafts/caissons ranging in size from 18" to 144" in diameter as well as soldier beam & lagging walls, secant/tangent walls, augercast piles, drop shafts, cut-off walls, combi-walls, piling and support of excavation.   Superintendent Required Skills/Abilities: 10+ years of foundation construction experience with exposure to building, heavy highway, bridge, and/or other infrastructure projects is highly desired. Additional experience with large, complex foundation projects is highly desired. Previous experience with federal/state/DOT contracts, specifications, reports and records is necessary. Candidate must have previous experience with trade supervision including performance assessment. OSHA 30 hour certification is required. Brayman Construction Corporation is seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic. Are you a career-oriented, experienced Shop Based Heavy Diesel Mechanic?  We are seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to work with our Field Support Team to support our growing operations in the region.  The position is based out of Saxonburg, PA.  Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.   Heavy Diesel Mechanic Duties/Responsibilities: Maintain and repair heavy diesel (mostly Peterbilt) trucks Diagnose any malfunctions the truck may have, and conduct repairs in a timely fashion to maximize the trucks uptime. Inspection mounting and rotation of tires Change brakes Preventative oil changes and monitoring of all fluids on trucks Inspection License Class 7 Diagnosing of all operational difficulties and informing management of processes that will be taken in order to repair   Required Skills/Abilities: Post-secondary mechanic training is strongly preferred 2-5 years of related diesel mechanic repair experience. Strong diagnostic skills including the ability to understand and use hydraulic and electrical schematics Must have a valid Class A Commercial driver's license along with a clean driving record Basic computer skills to use laptop computer and smart phone/tablet for diagnostic tools, service manual review and completion of work order and time entry. Basic math skills A positive can-do attitude to work in conjunction with the Field Support team in a dynamic fast paced environment.   Work Environment: Works both indoors and outdoors. Environment can be dirty and noisy. Wears appropriate protective clothing and equipment including gloves, ear protection, safety glasses and respirators when necessary.   Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 50 LBS. Stands frequently and walks about the work areas Occasionally stretches up and across when completing daily tasks Squatting, crouching or kneeling may be required occasionally. Twisting the body or neck may be required occasionally. Bending is occasionally required to facilitate the lifting of items used daily Contact with skin irritants or water may occur during certain processes Repetitive hand and arm movements are required when operating machinery.
