Repairing and replacing hydraulic hoses, motors, cylinders, winches, and controls including electric over hydraulic controls. Preparing, setting-up, and modifying equipment for new projects and applications. Ordering parts.  Establishing a spare parts inventory.  Managing refurbishment of parts and assemblies. Establishing, executing, and tracking preventative maintenance. Primary point of contact with equipment operators for maintenance and repair issues. Position Summary The Area Safety Coordinator will foster and maintain a proactive approach to safety and will promote an employee-centered safety work culture. He/she will report directly to the corporate safety director.  THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA. The Area Safety Coordinator, as a minimum, must have completed the 30 hour OSHA Construction safety class or its equivalent.  In addition, this position is required to have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Safety from an accredited program, minimum of five (5) years of construction safety experience.  The Area Safety Coordinator will support and assist the field workforce.  They will perform safety training, continually evaluate job site for hazards and implement corrective measures.  They will also purchase and maintain safety equipment necessary for the job site and assist the onsite a management team with day to day activities.  The Coordinator will be expected to travel. Day to Day Responsibilities: Conduct new employee orientations and ensure compliance with Area drug testing program.
